  1. Go to a pediatric ophthalmologist. NOT an optometrist!! They are specially trained to diagnose near and far sighted problems in children.

  2. they usually have special tests for little ones...you'd be surprised!

If she knows the difference between a cat and a dog for instance...anything that she can identify...shapes, letters or numbers...whatever she already knows - I am sure they have card or charts for little ones so that they can have a good base to start with...you'd be amazed at what they can do for kids! I would even call the optometrist and see if they could even give you some information or recommend a doctor who specialized in toddlers and children....

  3. Take her to a eye doctor.

  4. On Monday, make an appointment with your child's physician.  Tell the doctor what you have told us.  Your child's physician will do a basic screening and vision check, and if necessary, refer you to an ophthalmologist (eye doctor).

    All the best.

  5. she should get a regular check up and her doctor should of checked her eyes by now.  A 2 year old on the computer doesnt sound right she is to young.  Make sure when she does watch TV she sits far enough back.

  6. go to a eye Doctor

  7. Call up your pediatrician for an examination. They will check her eyes, and do a brief vision exam, and then most likely give you a referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist because they won't be able to figure anything out, lol.

It's just really hard to examine kids that young. I took my 3.5 year old in a couple weeks ago because she was squinting a lot and having a hard time recognizing objects at a distance, and she had a hard time communicating through the vision exam part of it. They show them images through a little machine, but it's hard to discern whether they know what the image is or if they're having a hard time seeing it because of a vision problem. We have the appt with the ophthalmologist on Monday. It's gonna be iiiiiiiiiiiinteresting.

  8. Go and find out! It is amazing what professions are able to diagnosis through evaluations.
