  1. You get 2 high tides a day and 2 low tides a day, high tide is approximately every 12 hours, but it changes by a few minutes (20ish?) every day.

You can find the high tides for your local beach on the internet, sometimes on the weather forecast on TV.

Most beaches have a board up which the lifeguards post the tide times on.

The position of the moon affects how high the high tides are and how low the low tides are, but its quite complicated.

There is not a high tide every time the moon is full, there is 2 a day.

  2. just go to the beach and watch on diferent days you'll see that during high tide the water goes up the shpre more, and guring low tide it doesn't come up as high.  Between 'dead" low and high, there's a pretty big difference so you should be able to tell.

  3. Listen to what Dr. D told you. It's actually a little more then every twelve hours, it advances a little less than an hour a day, but that's the general idea.

  4. Dr D is correct.

  5. I have never heard of a "hide" tide. If you mean "high" tide then go here.
