Question:

How to know zone based on postcode?

erm, i am wondering wether we can know wether a place in london is in which zone based on their postcode?

i always refer to the image down here for postcodes and their whereabout, but have no idea in which zone they are suppose to be.

any ideas? thanks!

    Possibly because travel zones & post codes don't always match up, for instance, Finsbury Park tube station is in Zone 2, the bus stops in front of it for the 19, 106 etc are in Zone 2 but around the back there is a second lot of buses, W3, W7 etc that are in Zone 3.  I've also seen it in other places where buses can be in one zone but the tube station in another.  The whole hub has the same address & postcode.  

    I think your best bet would be to use the link above & use your nearest tube station to gauge what zone you're in.  You should also have a chat with a newsagent who deals with travel cards or the personnel at your nearest tube station, see if they can offer any further information.  Have you tried ringing Transport for London to see if they have any info?
