I want to learn a new things at work each and every day. If you have similar desire how do you fullfill it?

I have the interesting research job - surrounded by well educated people, extremely well paid, but I already got a feeling that my initial interest is wearing out.

I usually start to lose interest at 3rd month or so and I change a job every year or so (since I am regarded as a star performer - it was able to do job hopping for almost 10 years with no probs) .

This time it took almost a year - and honestly I don't want quit this time - I would rather find a new way how to be learn new thing EVERY DAY and keep myself amazed and stay here for a long period of time.

From my experience the best way to learn something is to talk to best experts in particular area, but at the same time I don't think I would be able topics for myself and another issue - I already know enough to perform my job very well - but I want to know more.

Please share your experiences/ideas.

  1. Ask your supervisor for a special assignment

  2. Find a job that you want to move in to, and then ask that person if you can learn how to do some of the work they don't like and are too busy for ...

This frees them up, cross trains someone for their job.

  3. having faults and mistakes are good to learn something at work... l mean it is spontaneous experience and its good having mistakes.. if not , then you cant learn anything and always you stay always same way.
