Question:

How to let go of anger?

I was once heavily involved in the Christian faith ...I had a LOT of very bad experiences with other Christians who were judgemental, hypocritical, and down right, honestly bad people. I know not all Christians are bad...but I have a very hard time being around ANYONE in a church environment...even though I miss actually going to church. I have so much anger inside of me towards so many of these "Christians" and I want to be able to let it go...any advice?

  1. Form your own ministry...Lots of people do it. Your prayers will be heard wherever you are...even in someone's basement. A lot of people are disillusioned with organized religion right now but still have a spiritual side that needs nurturing. Get together with others who have expressed similar concerns and be there for each other.

Let your anger go...It's not healthy and it doesn't accomplish anything. Live your life as an honest, decent person and then pray for those "hypocrites." Trust me...They need your prayers!

  2. You said it best when you typed  "Christians"   Just for clarification ... It is not christian to Judge people and to be hypocritical.  You see to be a Christian you have to live and not do things like that.

The best way I have found to let go of my anger is to  apologize to the one who wronged you for being angry at them.. then forgive them for whatever they have done.. then forget about it and move on.

  3. Time will take your anger away. You wouldn't be angry at them your whole life you know. The more days passes the less angry you are.

Writing is one way to let your anger out. I don't think there are any other ways that you could do with them. You don't want to hurt them, do you? So just remember you are only hurting yourself by being angry, forgive them and move on, try to get to know the good Christians people.

  4. The first thing is to allow yourself a chance to breath and realize that their are tares and wheat in the church.  Not all that say Lord Lord etc.  You know that passage?

Letting go of anger is sometimes easier said than down.

Wounds are deep.  You have to consider the source realizing that God is a filter that nothing comes your way unless it is first allowed by God.

Study the Life of Saints of God and Jesus himself.  For Example David, Elijah Elisha Jeremiah he was called the weeping prophet.

We all go through trials and to let it go you have to actually discipline yourself to let it go onto God and allow yourself time to heal.

If you were carry a book bag full of rocks and your shoulder began to hurt you would change shoulders perhaps and you may move the bag strap around how about just letting someone else carry it for a while.  That Is what the epistle states Cast all your care upon Him for he cares for you.  However you have to leave it down.  Don't let those jerks power in your life.  So they were christians what if they were not christians would you stop bowling or swimming if they were on your bowling league or swim club.  No you would just find another club or gourp of people to hang with.  Same thing here find another church and get around other Christians that are healthy.

  5. Be  very careful you are not doing what you are accusing others of doing, take people at face value. People show you who they are with their actions, and if you view Church as the people you will stay angry. Church ahould be about your personal relationship with your higher power and not the people. Let the anger go and be about Your Connection to Church and Your Higher Power,

  6. Lol Jesus would forgive them.

  7. I don't really trust "christians" either. I'd like to not be pushed into anything. However, religion is like a club. And everyone wants you to joins theirs. I would suggest a nondenominational church.

  8. Just Yell... And listen to some angry music... And then sit down and cry... and then get up and change the world.
