How to listen FM on iPOd?

I have just bought a new iPod. I saw an option of radio in settings but I could not use it to listen the local FM station. Can any body tell me how can I listen to FM? whether I have to buy something additional?

What you are seeing is the streaming radio option included with iTunes. With this option you can listen to many streaming internet stations (and a few commercial stations that stream on iTunes), not your local over-the-air broadcast stations.
