How to litter train a rabbit?? (read description) *confused*?

is the litter box supposed to be "in" the cage or "out" of it? than if its outside, the rabbit has to be outside? im so confused someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... plz????

  1. The litter box should be inside the cage.

    If it's too big get another on.

    At petsmart (and similar stores) they sell rabbit litter boxes that clip onto the cage, or you can use a baking pan or a tupperware container.  


  2. Inside of the cage; otherwise the rabbit can't get to it.

    Place it inside at first and hopefully the rabbit will just go there. If not he/she'll mainly go in a certain spot. Move the litter-box to that spot then.

  3. there should always be a litter box in the inside of the cage. If you let him/her roam the cage then i would advise that would put one or two outside the cage as well.....hope this helps

  4. Then your cage is too small, you may want to put your rabbit in an x-pen set up.

    Put a litterbox in the cage and one out for playtime.

    Put it in your rabbits favorite corner to pee in and remove all the litter in the cage leaving only the litter in the box. Put some of your rabbits droppings in the box and put lots of timothy hay in it.
