How to load mp3s to my phone?

Question

I have a new lg mobile and would like to load some of the mp3s from my pc to the phone's mp3 player. The software that came with the phone - lg contents bank - seems simple enough to use but it doesn't seem to detect any of the mp3 files i have on my pc - they just don't show up. Any ideas?
