How to locate a mine by using a minning claim??????

Question

Recently my brother went hikking and found a small tin can with a rusted and ripped peice of paper.The paper happened to be a minning claim from 1984 with two names on it and a rough location something like "Common Bell #6 W S/L. . . .etc".I am curious as to where this mine is and know it is not far from here due to the minning district is just over the hill.I have searched the net with no luck.If you happen to have any ideas as to how i can do this please lemme know.
