  1. It's actually not a secret - if you know where to find it

    Two great sources

    Thomas Register http://www.thomasnet.com/

the most comprehensive resource for finding information on suppliers of industrial products and services in North America.

    National Association of Manufacturers http://www.nam.org/s_nam/index.asp

Find a  listing of manufacturers by going to their buyer's guide http://www.nambuyersguide.com/BSN/defaul...

  2. Just:

I'll give you an example. My USA made air compressor broke down last week. Problem was the pressure switch. Called the manufacturer. Yes, they have the part. Part was $80.00. I asked the salesman, where the part was made. He said CHINA. Got the part. Sure enough, China. Don't expect this switch will last very long because I can see the difference in the quality of the old part to the one I just purchased.

If you are looking for a specific product, call the supplier and ask them WHO makes that product? Try 1 small purchase and look at the product. See if they lied. If they did, find another supplier. Reputable suppliers usually tell you the truth.
