Question:

How to lock one's tv set?

I am exasperated and at my wits' end. I am a working mom and my boys are watching tv all the time and producing slip shot homework. Their other preoccupation is fighting with each other and the Nintendo. My housekeeper also watches tv and (I suspect) rides on my exercise bike when no one's around. Her other preoccupation is her cell phone. I am REALLY fed up. For a start, can someone tell me how I can lock up my tv sets? I have a samsung flat screen and a Phillips flat screen.

  1. I can't tell you what features your sets have without knowing the models, but most newer flat screen tv's have a feature in the menu, usually under parental controls, called child lock. This feature disables all the controls on the set so the tv can only be controlled via the remote. Then all you have to do is hide the remotes
