How to look prettier?

Question

i have light olive skin,dark brown eyes,and dark brown auburn hair

i'm really into fashion and i'm in the 8th grade

but i want my make up to look more fashionable

the only problem is my skin isn't very smooth so foundation is obvious and whenever i put on a little bit of eyeliner i look overdone and sort of gothic like i'm trying to be older.

i want to change my hair for school and i'm thinking about this

so what are some good make up items that are good and what is a good lightbrown eyeliner

and do you like that hairstyle?

Use a face moisturizer in a brand such as Vichy. I don't remember the name of the line, but it's anti-blemish and has a green lid. You can get it in most cosmetic departments. Then use a matte mousse, such as one by Maybelline. You only use a little, and it helps to even out your skin tone. Another option is to use a tinted moisturizer, which will also even out your skin tone, moisturize, and often has a sun block. I don't know of a good brand to recommend, though. I don't think you necessarily need to use eyeliner. I never do, and it works for me. Just use mascara if it's necessary and a little bit of a shimmery brown eyeshadow. Just try different things until you find something that works for you. A little goes a long way- and at your age, using too much makeup makes you look worse in a variety of ways.

I don't like the hairstyle. Those bangs would be ridiculously annoying (and I'm not a fan of the appearance, either).

MAC is your answer. the studio finish and studio fix in probably a c3 would work for your skintone.  Also, as far as the eyeliner goes, draw it out a tiny bit from the outside corner of your eye using a 266SH mac brush with their black fluidline.  Then only bring it into the center of your top eyelid right above the pupil, instead of drawing it all the way on your entire eyelid. For the bottom eyelid, take a dark purple mac color eyeshadow and using the same brush, line only part of the bottom outside of your lower eyelid. Instead of the black and dark purple you could substitute it for the brown fluidline and a dark brown shadow.

As far as the hairstyle goes, I had it a while ago and loved it but now so many people have it after the model irina ilazarenu (i never spell her name right) made it her signiture. and the bangs can get pretty ichy and annoying. so, i would come up with more of a razored custom haircut.

i love this haircut, it's my haircut! you should try it and if you look like her you should keep your make up natural. try to draw a thiner eye liner!

eh its okay and just experiment with different eyeliners you'll find one that you like or just wear mascara, and sometimes people prefer eyeliner on top instead of on bottom or both i wouldnt wear foundation because it looks so clay like and fake but some people need it i guess, i wouldnt worry so much you're only in 8th grade, and im sure you like fine with out makeup

lol that first guys pissed you didnt post a real picture...get a life man!!!!!...anyways...just use brown mascara ...lip gloss and a really light color blush...dont use eyeliner..it can make someone young look really horrible...

You know what style is always in? side swipe bangs and layers.

I lovee marykay eyeliner it doesnt smudge at all!! But honestly any brand at your local drug store will do, for being in 8th grade (or any age) you really dont need super expensive make up.

it's like camilla's hairstyle but with a twist in it.

just study camilla's makeup, i'm sure she uses light brown eyeliner.

go light on that stuff and make sure it "blends in". you won't look as old...

If eyeliner makes you look older then apply it lightly or don't apply it at all.

If you are going to wear eyeshadow, try eyeshadows that complement your eyes.For you that color would be brown since your eye color is brown.

Apply black mascara because brown mascara doesn't really enhance eyelashes.It doesn't make them stand out.That would be bad if your eyelashes aren't long.

Apply blush because that enhances cheekbones.

If you pluck your eyebrows make sure to not take out too much or not pluck enough because eyebrows play a big part in the face.

Then Lipgloss and your good to go.
