How to look up 2002 obituary online?

Does anyone know how I can find my great grandmother's obituary online. I've tried different things and nothing has worked yet. She died in October 2002 in Olive Branch, Ms and I'm trying to put together a scrapbook. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check with your local library. Many subscribe to the online news service NewsBank that includes "America's Obituaries and Death Notices" which you, as a library card holder, can use.

I would guess it should be in the DeSoto county tribune. This is their contact page, so you can send an email to someone there.

Newspapers online often have obits, however there is no guarantee that their online archives go back to 2002.  If they do not have them that far, I imagine that giving them her name and the date, they will probably find it as a courtesy in their normal archives.

The public library in the county in which she died would have the obituary as well as the newspaper  good luck
