  3. Sorry you probably do not want to hear this but you cannot do this safely.

    (3500 calories = 1 pound)

    Try for 1.5 lbs a week. burn an extra 5250 calories thoughout the week...that is 750 calories a day...you could try spliting that between what you eat and then exercise...

  4. the only way to do that is to get a knife and cut off your legs, be sure to put a tourniquet on or else you will die.  That is the only way you can do it without gaining it back.  You need to do a steady weight loss plan and the average of about 2 1/2 pounds a week is healthy.

    I think you might be getting a little mixed up with what you want exactly. You say that you want to lose "weight" but that means you might want to get rid of some muscle too. You then say that you'd like to "shape" (I'd call it tone) your body a little which implies you want to build some muscle. I'm not trying to pick at your question - I just want to clarify the point for you.

    To answer it in the best way, I am going to look at it as if you want to get rid of fat AND build muscle at the same time. If you're looking to "trim" and "tone" your body, and espectially because you suggest you are not that overweight, I would suggest you start performing more intensive aerobic exercises such as jogging. I wouldn't think you need to change the whole way you eat or go on a diet because if you're wanting to build muscles - it's better to do it all with exercise.

    Exercises like jogging won't exactly "build" your muscles on your stomach but they will help reduce the extra fat around there. Depending on how fit you are, you should go on daily or bi-daily jogs of around a mile. To build muscles, you should concentrate on anaerobic exercises such as sit-ups to help build muscles.

    These muscle-building exercises will give your muscles the toning and training they need to grow and become more prominent. To start to see a real difference with sit-ups, you should be looking to do no more than 100 every day (more than that will often hurt your muscles).

    If you stick to doing those two forms of exercise - jogging and sit-ups, you should see real improvements in a week or two. Remember, you should do them as often as you can (I.E every single day).

  7. you cant lose 40 punds in a month. you can lose 10 pounds each month though, so four months. eat right, have 4-5 SMALL meals a day and do a lot of exercise and get your heart going at least 5 days a week.

  8. Dude. I know for a fact that 40 pounds is way to much! Do you know how unhealthy that is?  Stick to 10 lbs. i lost 7 lbs by exercising and i also see an authorized weight doctor in Maryland. Look around for authorized people. Maybe hire a personal trainer.

    Oh and most importantly. FYI: you shouldn't  NOT eat. That's bad, i tried that and i only lost 3 pounds. A little chocolate or whatever you like here and there is okay... use moderation. That's key to a normal and fit diet. You couldn't have a perfect diet. I tried a NO SUGAR diet which actually lasted 2 weeks, but than i only had 2 mini crunch bars, and i only lost 1 pound. When i exercised a lot, and with the proper foods i needed daily, and  twice a week some chocolate (which i don't have very often, i'm a health nut.... so i try to be careful).

      Okay... sometimes the word exercise just makes people cringe. Well, get on your ipod, "dance floor music" and then dance and sing.... i will lift weights, while i am kicking like crazy...

    1) The 3 day diet which works like a charm (lose 10 pounds in 3 days) - I lose around 9-14 pounds in 3 days! Very good diet plus u could eat icecream for desert! Link is Below:

    2) You can do the Atkins Diet and eat only 10g of carbs a day like eggs, hot dogs and all proteinsu would like, but i probably wont recommend this, because ull increase u cholestrol, but u will lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks

    3) You can do the 7 day diet, which also works like a charm, its hard to stick on BUT U get good results:

    DAY 1- ALl fruits u want except banans (EAT ONLY FRUITS)

    DAY 2- Eat all vegetables u want (NO POTATO NO CORN)

    Day 3- Eat all veges and fruits (NO POTATO< BANANAS< AND CORN)

    DAY 4- 3 glasses of skim milk and 3 bananas

    Day 5-7: 3oz of protein plus unlimeted Green vegges

    LOSE 10-17 pounds in 1 week!!!!!!!!!!!!

    4) You can do the scarsdale diet which is a really good diet!

    5) You can do a 800-1000 calorie diet, and lose like decent amount of weight

    6) Lose 2-3 pounds of week! by eating 1200-1500 cals and excersising
