    hill running best for calfs

  2. Cardio is the answer.

Running and cycling are good for getting rid of calories so good at getting rid of belly fat, and they are both good for your calfs.

Also control what food you take in; fruit & veg are good because of the high fibre for loosing belly fat and for the exercise.

(dont know if you're fat unless i see you but you won't be when you hit your growth spurt anyway so don't worry ).

  3. Hi, I'm around your height too!! And don't worry.. It seems like your BMI is only 110%... Not too bad!! BUT, if you do want to shed off those extra pounds, here's what you can do:

    -To lose belly flab,

    1.  Lie flat on the floor, then push your body up with your arms (not your palms, your arms--meaning the lower part of your hand)

    2. Suck in your stomach, and hold for 20-30 counts. (Make sure your feet are on the floor and you bum pointing out as sharp as possible!!)

    3. Do it several times a day, maybe before going to school or when you've just got back. You'll have a toned tummy in no time!

-To tone your calf muscles, this is all you have to know:

    1) At any time of the day, just tip-toe. When you feel the strain in your calf-muscles, then release. Do it several times in a day, but don't over-strech or you'll get a bad muscle pull!

    2) You can also do this. Go to a staircase, then stand on the edge of the step and stretch your calf-muscles. This is a really simple technique of toning your calf-muscles and getting rid of the jiggly flab down there.

Follow these simple steps, and you'll have a great figure in no time. And don't worry, you don't have to be slim at the moment. Just make sure you're fit and healthy, that means no diets or slimming pills or lipo!!

  4. Belly fat CAN'T be reduced fast.

Losing fat is a SLOW process, but tightening up your core muscles can change the SHAPE of your abdomen very quickly.

The muscles that shape your waist and belly are used to twist your ribs & hips in opposite directions. So activities that twist your waist and wiggle your hips about a lot (like Salsa dancing) will strengthen these muscles and make them harder & tighter.

Capoeira, Kayaking, and martial arts (like kickboxing) that use a lot of high knee, leg and foot techniques will activate these muscles very strongly, making them 'pinch' your belly and waist inwards.

Learning to 'pelvic tilt' (a Pilates exercise) will help to change your posture, so that your belly is being exercised and reduced all the time while you're moving about.

  5. There are several exercises you can do that will work. I like to climb stairs. A great work out for the calfs and abs.

I checked your stats in the Ideal weight chart. No you are not overweight.

  6. skipping...

  7. control you diet to around 1200 calories a day and do exercise such as running, if you live near the beach then running there will kill two birds with one stone, you calves will get toned and you will burn calories. if not then just regular running will be fine. To be honest though you are only 14 and you still have plenty of growing to do so you will probably thin out without very much effort. The calves would be helped by standing with you toes on bottom step of your stairs and you heals hanging off in mid air, then lower your heals down as low as you can then raise them up as high as you can, do this 10 times and take a break for 2 or 3 mins and do it another 10 times. Do this every other day. your calves will probably be pretty sore for a few days particularly in the beginning but this is normal. after this gets easy then you will need to do it 3 or four times and maybe hold something heavy like your school bag with a few books in it if it gets really easy.
