Question:

How to lose the baby weight?

I had my baby 10 months ago. When I got pregnant I was 158, I got up to 190 during my pregnancy, and now I'm at 174. Ideally, I'd like to get down to my perfect weight of 135-140, but I'd be thrilled to see anything under 170 at this point!

I have tried Weight Watchers, South Beach, and a few other random things but I just don't feel like I'm seeing any kind of change. Diets are difficult for me because I'm allergic to eggs and dairy products, so a lot of the low-carb, high protein diets are hard for me to stick to since I can't have cheese for snacks, eggs for breakfast, etc.

I am losing and then regaining the same pounds over and over. I'll get down to 170 and I shoot up to 176 the next week. Obviously something isn't working here!!

What worked for you? I don't want to have to do something expensive (Like Nutrisystem or LA WEightloss) I want it to be practical and something my husband and I can both do together, without me having to make 2 different dinners! Any ideas or suggestions?

  1. i cant wait to read these answers because im having the same exact problem except i cant afford the costly interventions like weight watchers... i just try walking and eatting less calories but nothing seems to work!

For me its just willpower i start eating healthy and exercising 5 or 6 days a week and then i eat horribly and dint exercise for a week and then i start again so i've lost 15 pounds doing this and i'm tired of waiting so long for results! I'm eating healthy and exercising and it'll eventually come off we just have to be patient! I think the key is moving as much as we can. Good luck.

  3. I know you said that you tried Weight Watchers, but I'm doing it now and I love it.  How is your support system, do you have someone that tells you that you are doing great while you are dieting.  I know that helps me ALOT.
