How to lower amp power cause shuts off everytime?

plez explain what i have to do im a girl lol ,,,i have to keep popping out the fuse by the battery cause system shuts off=the fuses are all goos ,i have kickers 12''300 and a fast and furious amp 250.1 this never happened b4 till i got these speakers i dont no nothing about subs and amps .plez help b4 i blow these too ......thanks p.s do i need a higher amp???

  1. Sounds like you have a short somewhere.  What you need to start with is by checking all the connections.  Make sure all the connections are tight and that none of the wires outer coat is stripped.  

    The ground is going to be the most likely cause.  Make sure both ends are tight and the ground is touching bare metal.  

    Also, look at your speaker wires.  Make sure they are not touching anything else and not touching each other.

    If that doesn't help then post back and we will give you more ideas.

  2. If you are trying to run 2 kicker 12" subs of that amp, then the reason it is cutting off because it is clipping. It can not handle the additional strain of the second sub. If I knew what kickers, and how many, plus what amp we could figure it out, but it sounds like you are going to need to upgrade your amp. 250 watts from your current amp is still going to be a little light even for one of the kicker subs. You amp may have a light for clipping, but if it doesn't, you can feel it to see how hot it gets which is a direct sign of it being over worked. Either way my recomendation at this point it to upgrade your amp.
