Question:

How to maintain a tan? How long should it last?

I just got back from a week in Ibiza, and I've got a pretty good tan, but I want to keep it so that my friends see in a week when I go back to school. How can I preserve it? (lol)

My skin has a tendancy to flake, so I always use thick moisturisors like cocoa butter, will this help? Don't suggest aftersun, I used a "hypoallergenic" Boots one on holiday when I went a bit pink on my thighs, they went bright pink and sticky with puss (where my bikini bottoms had been, but I put aftersun on to moisturise and where the sun had hit it) and now my thighs are white where the skin's flaked off.

  1. Just moisturise, exfoliate and use a moisturiser with fake tan in it. Whatever you do, don't go back out in the sun (what sun!! dependant on where you are in the UK) There is no, 'safe' level of UV exposure

  2. Hopefully you used a good bronzing tanning lotion when you were gone. Now that you are back you should lotion up. Just put lotion on every day. It will help you maintain that nice dark glow.
