same as any other wood surface. if under water use bottom type marine paint. exposure to sun use a good primer and surface paint. for boats always use marine grade.

even the best quality marine ply will deteriorate if ALL the exposed end grain....top bottom all four sides and any holes drilled thru it..isn't sealed to keep water out. Paint might do,,,,,,epoxy resin will for sure. Then prime and paint the whole deal with good marine paint..or if in fresh water with light use, porch and floor enamel
