the type of sweet rice cake im talking about is not the ones covered in banana leaves. they sell it at some chinese supermarkets, although they are made in a bakery and brought to the supermarket to sell. it comes in these white foam plates(sometimes normal supermarkets use them for vegetables or meat). the cakes look kinda translucent well not really cause its white and are cut into triangular pieces and there's like 4 pieces in each plate. It tastes sweet but also kinda has a little tiny bit of an unusual flavor. does anyone know how to makes these??? they are really soft kinda spongy and fluffy. it doesn't even look like there are grains of rice. kinda like a sponge with holes in it.
on the top of the plate thing, there is a label that says the bakery's name and it says "Sweet Rice Cakes" and it tells you the ingredients which are only: rice, sugar, water and oil. thats it!!
i was wondering how to make them. i've tried looking online but all the recipes i've found are not for the type of rice cakes im talking about.
