  1. Cinnamon Rice

       1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

       2 tablespoons milk

       2 teaspoons margarine

       1 cup uncooked rice  

       2 cups water

       1 teaspoon sugar

       5 tablespoons raisins

    Bring rice, water, milk, raisins, and margarine to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook until liquid has absorbed and rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Mix together cinnamon and sugar, sprinkle over rice to serve.

    2 cups water

    1 (1-inch) piece cinnamon stick

    1 cardamom pod or 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

    1 whole clove

    1 cup long-grain rice, preferably basmati

    Combine the water, cinnamon, cardamom, and clove inn a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the rice and stir once. Cover and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook covered for 15 to 20 minutes, until all the water is absorbed.

    Remove the cinnamon stick, cardamom pod, and clove before serving.

    1 medium onion, chopped

    3 garlic cloves, chopped

    3/4 teaspoon cumin seeds

    1 (2 1/2- to 3-inch) cinnamon stick

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1 1/2 cups long-grain white rice

    2 1/4 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth

    3/4 teaspoon sugar

    3/4 teaspoon black pepper

    1 teaspoon salt

    Cook onion, garlic, cumin seeds, and cinnamon stick in oil in a 2- to 3-quart heavy saucepan over moderate heat, stirring, until onion is beginning to soften, about 3 minutes. Add rice and cook, stirring, until grains become slightly translucent, about 2 minutes.

    Stir in broth, sugar, pepper, and salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, 10 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork and discard cinnamon stick if desired.

    4 Eggs + 1 Egg's Egg Whites

    2 Cups Of Apples Chopped Well

    1 1/2 Cups Cooked White Rice

    1/2 Cup Dates

    1/4 Cups Granulated Sugar

    3/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon

    2 Tablespoon Butter Or Margarine

    1 Teaspoon Pure Vanilla

    1 Teaspoon Nutmeg [optional]

    In a large mixing bowl combine 4 eggs, apples, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, rice, dates and sugar, blend together gently. In another small mixing bowl add the egg whites and whisk until you create stiff peaks. Fold egg whites into the other mixing bowl. Add all into a large baking dish and sprinkle the cinnamon on top the dish. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and bake the dish in a water bath for 1 hour. Garnish with apple wedges. Serve hot or cold. Refrigerate left overs. For water bath just place baking dish into another baking pan that has 1 inch of water in it.

  3. i've never made this, but if I were to, I would add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the rice when it is in the rice cooker.  I'm not sure how it would turn out, but it would probably taste very good.

    Do not use ground cinnamon

    use the stick

    You want flavor not color

  5. CINNAMON ALMOND RICE  

    6 c. hot rice

    3 tbsp. butter

    3 tbsp. honey

    1 tsp. sugar

    1 c. chopped almonds

    Cinnamon to taste

    Combine all of the above. Wonderful hot or cold.
