  1. Avoid all fireworks. My children and their schoolmates have stopped using fireworks years back. We gave it up decades back.

  2. Nemaste, Ravi. I was thinking of better quality candles without lead in the wicks, but this web site has a different idea:  http://www.batteryoperatedcandles.net/?g... .  The key eco-friendly factor to these attractive (on the web, anyway) looking candles is their use of the extremely efficient LED. They've been used in bicycle rear lights(mine are at least 5 -7 years old) on the original batteries.

No hydrocarbons(?) are released on initial lighting or continued burning of these lights.  The candles themselves would not  be used up.  And you could posssibly use  batteries spent by conventional devices. They are aslo very good for remote controls

  3. ask government

    IdIOt!!!!

  4. Hi Ravi,

Go to hardware store and buy some light bulbs which are high tech, low wattage high lumin, give them to your friends and family for gifts.Change your light bulbs, AFTER Dewali, to those low wattage gas filled economy bulbs. You will save enough to double the number of light bulbs for next Dewali. On and on, year after year and ask your friends and family to do the same, then we will use less electricity and have a brighter, more eco-friendly Dewali.

  5. Hi....1st of all wish u a very HAPPY DIWALI,do less use of crackers as much as u could do,vry less use of plastic gift covers, distribute more & more love, get ur home lighted with candles of faith........

  6. hi ravi, happy diwali to u and ur family.ask ur friend to came home(open house) i do like that every year. Ok take care.Diwali is a day to enjoy , go and eat muruku la. hahahahah.
