How to make Files/ area public?

Question

I would like to make all or part of the Files/ area in a group that I manage Public, in the same way that the Links/ area is Public. Right now, access to Files/ is limited to members, but everyone can see the Links/. How can I do this?

Alternatively, if this is not possible, I would like to direct non-members to the Links/ area, and then offer links to the Files/ stored on another server. If I do this, what server can I use that offers file access?

the answer to your first question is files cant be made public like the links and calendar. sorry

there are many file sharing sites, do a search. you'll find plenty to choose from.
