Open Firefox

go to the tolls menu at the top and choose options

click advanced

at the bottom click the box that says "always check to see if firefox is the default browser..."

restart firefox.

It should ask you again if you want to make it your default browser when it starts up

Go to Tools > Advanced Tab. Click the "Check Now" Button. if it says "would you like to make Firefox your default browser", choose yes. if it doesn't say anything, then it is already set that way.

Usually, when you install it... there is a pop up box that says to run firefox and in the corner of the box, there is a checkbox that says to make firefox your default browser. Click it and press ok.
