How to make a 2d image 3d?

I've seen all over youtube these programs that you can insert a 2d image into and it'll turn it into 3d automatically, does anyone know what this program is and where I can get it?

If it's a simple 2d image , you can use free Google Sketch.

Oh I get it now. Well, I'd say the answer below deserves credit. Google sketchup is user friendly, but it does not do so automatically. A 2D image is always only taken from one angle. You'd have to have several 2D pictures from different angles to insert enough data to generate a 3D image. And even then holes or windows will not render properly as they lie below the flat surface. You could however use a 3D program that allows you to 'map' a 2D image around a 3D wireframe. Lots of games are made this way.
