How to make a JPEG picture JPG or GIF ?

I need to upload some pics to myspace and it doesnt let me cuz they are JPEG, but i had uploaded them to myspace before? now they are JPEG and it wont take it. anyway i can change the format to JPG or GIF ?

JPG and/or JPEG are the same!!! so you'll have to change only the file extension. you could try to convert them to GIFs, but this way you'll lose a lot in quality, because GIF images can have only 256 colors, while JPEGs can have up to 16 million...

conversion may be made with any "image treatment" software:

micro$oft Paint;

IrfanView;

a.s.o....

maybe it's their size that impedes you uploading them?! try to scale them down a little, or compress the file (set quality when saving to about 65%).

Hi, like you said My Space does upload JPEG pictures but it does only allow you around 40 pictures in your album.I think this is what i read earlier by accident.

JPG is the same as JPEG, but if you want to change your JPEG to GIF open the picture in a graphics program and save it in GIF format thought the quality won't be as good. Unless you need the picture to big large size I suggest reducing it (again in a graphics program, not Paint but something like Photoshop etc.) if for no other reason to cut down on the amount of time it takes to upload them. It can take forever if you have a slow connection.
