How to make a cat looove you?

Okay, so i have an orange cat. Hes long haired, and hes neutured (spelling?). I dont know if that has anything to do with it, but i thought maybe when u neuter a cat it makes it cranky and never love you?

But i went to a friends house and his cats are rly affectionate.

Any ideas on how to make a cat that simply hates sitting on laps, or near you, adore you?

neutering a cat does not make them less affectionate. Spend some time brushing your cat, especially since he is long haired he will appreciate mat removal. Brushing often creates a nice strong bond between cat and human.

you cant make him love you he is who he is, I'm sure he does love you in his own way just play with him and stroke him and love him for who he is, i have a really affectionate cat who never leaves me alone but even she has her off days maby hes not well be patient

awww....sorry to hear that. maybe he is just trying to tell you to back off. If you are constantly trying to get his attention or petting him all the time he may be irritated with you. leave him alone for a bit and he will come to you when he wants some love!

I have two cats, and in my honest opinion you can't MAKE a cat do anything.  Some cats are super affectionate and cuddly and like to be held, and some are more independent and don't like to be touched.  I think some cats are just more sensitive to having their coats touched; after a little while it starts to irritate them, so they leave.

Both of my cats are neutered, and I don't think it affected their behavior at all once they'd recovered from the surgery.  My female cat used to fetch her toys for me to throw when she was a kitten, but she stopped doing that when she got older.  You could try training him to come when you call by giving him a treat (or calling him and shaking the treat can at the same time), but again - cats are cats and they like pretending that nothing you do has any effect on them.
