Question:

How to make a ceiling canopy for my wedding?

the center is 1750 sq feet and the measurements are 58.6 ft by 30ft. i need advice on how to do it and what material to use, thinking of using tulle. is that a good idea? need advice on cheap places to look for the material. ANY AND ALL COMMENTS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED :-)

  1. I have a good picture on what you're thinking of: it is draped fabric going across the ceiling, sort of making it look like clouds, right?

    if so, invest in a staple gun (if they are allowed at your center) and a few friends to help, if you are the one who is doing the decorating. Staple the fabric up onto the ceiling in a two-stable crisscross, about every four or five feet apart.

    You can get fabric from pretty much any crafts store (Michael's, Joanne Fabrics, etc) but I can't give any guarantee that they would have enough fabric for the entire ceiling. If you can't find alot, they usually have much more of the fabric you want in their warehouses, so ask about this.

    I would suggest something breezy and sheer, so look for a lighter fabric (also helps to stay put so it won't fall down on your guests!)
