How to make a fairy cake?

For my sisters 19th birthday i am going to make her a strawberry flavored cake with red food colouring so that the sponge is red. Before i dive in and make it i would like to make ONE or TWO fairy cakes to see how it would come out. Does anyone have a recipe for a single or two fairy cakes? Including the amount of strawberry flavoring and red food colouring i should add. Thanks
