How to make a fleece coat for my dog?

Hi! I'm struggling to find patterns for fleece coats/jumpers for dogs! They're all knitting, and well I can't knit. How should I go about making some fleecies for my dog? And before anyone says "just buy them" - I want to make my own, I do have some bought ones though. Any ideas? She is a Cavalier King Charles weighing approx 8kg (only quite small). What measurements do I take and how do I draw up a pattern? Thanks

Here's a cute site with a bunch of patterns. Some may be knitting, but there are sewing ones too.

I just wish my boyfriend would let me dress up our dog... He'll only let her wear doggles lol (dog goggles)

Here are a few I have found in the past on-line.  Also, all of the major pattern companies (vogue, McCalls, Butterick & Simplicity) make patterns for pet coats.

I have a 60 pound dog and have made her fleece coats in the past.  She has Lupus and gets very cold easily.  they are pretty easy to make if you have some sewing skills.
