Question:

How to make a good first impression for high school?

High school's starting soon, and i wanna make a good first impression. I'm a little scared because I'm kind of pudgy (I'm 5'1 133 lbs) and sometimes people make fun of me for it, and i was acting annoying and was sorta unpopular in middle school and a lot of people ignored me. Sorry if it sounds stupid, but I just want a fresh start. I don't want to be popular i just don't want to be treated like c**p or to be known as 'the fat girl'. So can anyone give me any advice on how to act on my first day, or what kind of clothes to wear for my figure, or what to expect freshman year, etc....

  1. don't worry about your weight, and don't let it get you down. "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

    Remember that. Don't get caught up in drama, and focus on schoolwork. Be nice, polite, and stay strong. Just wear flattering clothes. Don't wear the 'in' clothes just because everybody else is. Wear clothes for YOU. Try baby doll tops, and flats, its very nice, and works for almost all body types.

  2. you might always keep a smile on your face, lock in eye contact,  and call the other person by name when you say hi to them. say hi to as many people every day as is comfortable for you.

  3. Freshman year, just ended for me a few months ago!

    Take it from me, for highschool dont expect upper-classmen to be nice to you. The best thing for you to do is be nice to everyone, if someone isn't nice to you dont take it personally, and if they just don't like you ...Who Cares? Once you get settled in, its not all the gloomy stuff people talk about.

  4. I really suggest complimenting people, too. You'll get instant credit. Don't do it so much that people start getting annoyed, though, and be sincere.

    Your weight really doesn't matter, either. If anyone makes fun of you about it, you just know they're lame. :-( If you're really that uncomfortable with it, try working out. (I don't say dieting because I know from experience that it's easier said than done.) And if you wanna put up with the headaches, stop drinking soda altogether. You lose weight pretty good. (I couldn't go more than a week without it. ^^;)

    And eating celery should make you lose weight. It's like burning calories while eating. XD

  5. i'm going into high school this year 2 so i cant reely give you any good high school tips but i can give u social tips!

    try showing evryone u talk to, your awesome personality and they will autimatically forget your little over weightness!

    Oh and also hold your head up high no matter what anyone says.

  6. maybe u should start to lose weight?

    and try wearing clothes with vertical stripes cause i think that can make u look slimmer

    and don't worry life and school is tough

    u just have to be strong!
