  1. You can buy frozen strawberry margarita mix, and also big tubs of powdered mix (regular, strawberry & mango).  It will tell you how much tequila to add... then just add ice and put it on the blender.  Or, pour it over crushed ice for "on the rocks"

  2. 1.5 cups (360 ml) Limeaid (in frozen juice section)

    3 cups (720 ml) water

    3/4 cup (180 ml) tequila

1/4 cup (60 ml) Triple Sec or other orange-flavoured liqueur

sea salt for rimming the glasses

lemon or lime slices for garnish

    For on the rocks:

In a large jug, mix the limeaid, water, tequila and triple sec (or other orange flavoured liqueur). Prepare the glasses by rubbing the rims with a cut lemon and dipping them in salt. Add ice to glasses, pour margarita mixture over, garnish with lemon/lime wedges, serve.

    For blended:

In a large jug, mix the limeaid, water, tequila and triple sec (or other orange flavoured liqueur). Prepare the glasses by rubbing the rims with a cut lemon and dipping them in salt. Add ice to blender, pour margartia mix over ice, blend until frosty, garnish with lemon/lime wedges, serve**.

**You'll have to decide how much ice to how much margarita mix for the blended version.

In response to too alcoholic and too bitter: Yes, tequila is very potent. If you use too much, you'll ruin the margaritas. As for bitter, that's because you're using cheap tequila. You don't have to use the most expensive tequilas like Herradura or Patron, but you should use one that's 100% agave. If you use cheap tequila like one of the low-end Jose Cuervos, it will taste awfully bitter. I think the cheap ones almost taste like diesel fuel or gasoline. They could also taste bitter if you're jucing were juicing your own limes. Lime white flesh of the lime peel is extremely bitter. This version uses limeaid, so you'll avoid that problem.
