I HAVE SEEN LIKE 200 YOUTUBE VIDEOS OF HAMSTERS ON LEASHES.

That is one of many.
I propose using a few layers of tissues. Make foot holes and wrap around body. Seems safe enough. As long as it's not around the neck. when my dwarf hammy JJ was first brough home, my friend said i could carry him by the scruff and tried to show me, and he started spazzing in thier hand. I kind of can relate to how much that would hurt.
BTW, the dude at the pet shop said a russian dwarf hammy could fall from "the top shelf up there", which was about 7 1/2 feet up, and live. I doubt this, but i would appreciate any input, for i have a LOT of pets, some of which, are cats. 3 to be exact. Along with a turtle, 2 birds, hammy (of course), 3 fish tanks (a 12 gal, a 6 gal, and a 10 gal), and not to mention i am breeding betta fish at my school. So, i am busy as you can see. But one thing i have ALWAYS wanted to do:
walk exotic animals around my neighborhood. I started with my cat. He is now too big for the harness, but it was fun while it lasted. I would carry him to our pitstop, he would smell the dog f***s, and then he and i would run back home. I would like to try walking my hamster when it gets warmer outside. (it's winter right now)

tie a string aroung his neck NOT TO TIGHT or LOOSE then, tie another string through the same one. next, throught the end of that 2nd string tie one around his belly. then you can attach a string to the 2nd peice of string it should look like this around him: (pretend it's string)
