  1. take the hose and put youre thumb partially over the nozzle. that seems a pretty fun way to make a water fountain.

    Drink up!!!!

  2. the basics ingredients are a pump, switch and decoration to conceal pump and switch. the amount of water you want to spray upward willl guide you to pump size. the creative DIY part is what to make it look like.

do you want to make it look formal or  rustic... most folks want to make it fit into surroundings, so if in landscaped area a natural  theme works such as a big frog or bear lying on their back spraying upwards from their mouth, with a wide grin, 'hands" behind head as if they are leisurely floating.

Foam can be carved, covered with plastic and then painted to make any shape you can imagine look like bronze.

Simple sculptures can be drilled out or sawed in half, carved and reglued.

look at some pictures to get ideas... hope you do have fun

  3. I've made several different types.  One I drilled a hole in the bottom of a large urn feeding a tube through it.  I connected the bottom one to a submersable pump which I placed in the bottom of a large decorative tub.  I filled the tub with rocks and shells then water.  At the top I attached a sprinkle head so the water flows down the urn into the tub below and recirculates.  Ugly urn turns into attractive fountain. You really can make almost any container that has a hole in both the bottom and top into a fountain.
