  1. Just before you throw it, start it on fire.

  2. There are two main factors that will contribute to the amount of time your plane can spend in the air.  First, the surface area parallel to the ground.  Second, the stability, or the ability of the plane to stay "straight and level".  Try experimenting with ways to try and make the airplane's wings as big as possible without the paper folding or bending once it is in the air.  Once you have a sturdy design (one that will not fold or bend easily), try balancing the plane out by adding tape, paper clips, or a dab of glue so the the front half weighs about the same as the back half, and the left half weights about is much as the right half.  The center of gravity for the plane should be in the center (if you are going to the most airtime).

  3. the world record for time aloft is held by a simple design with a lot of wing surface, a large proportion of the weight on the leading edge, and slightly elevated trailing edge.  The result is a craft that can be thrown straight up in the air to a surprising height, then sails slowly back down.

  4. Betty, it is all in the folding. Use Google and search for "balcony bomber" go to the site, and download and print the directions.

  5. Its about how you fold it,the bigger the surface area the longer it stays air born, the smaller the surface area the shorter it stays air born so you can just go to Google or Yahoo and search what you are finding for.Good luck (^-^).
