Apart from guarantee for the loan sanctioned, bankers will also ask for project report, only to know, whether the money you invest is really profitable ? when can you start making profit ? scope of the Industry ? and your knowledge. Hence prepare very carefully. The project report should be about 8-10 A4 size paper, in duplicate, Printed on one side, with sufficient margin on both sides, to enable them to write remarks, notes etc., The report should be spiral bind ed, with attractive, a coloured front page. These are basic looks. The content should be bifurcated as follows:- ( in this order )

1. Your introduction, including education, experience.....etc.,

2. Introduction to project, details of product / business.

3. Scope of Business, business potential, number of competitors, total market size, your area in the market, supply and demand parity.

4. Location of Business, give detail of place, (whether rented, owned etc., ). Nearest market and its potential.

5. If Export oriented mention it ( either direct or indirect), if the product is being imported to India at present, give figures.

6. Indicate total requirement of Capital, including fixed and flouting.

7. Indicate how much funds you can arrange on your own source, and how much you expect from bank.( add 10% extra ).

9. List the raw materials required, and its source.

10. If, yours is an Industry, give them the flow chart, from raw material stage to finished product.

11. Mention clearly, when you are going to start,

12. Indicate when you are going to start earning profits (indicate few months extra ).

13. Indicate how much time you require to return the whole loan amount, including interest., (here reduce the time).

14. Conclusion, conclude the whole, with very optimistic wordings.

15. Their Officer will visit the site, before loan is sanctioned, to prepare his own report. Show your hospitality.

16. You are called for an interview by bank manager, keep another copy with you, answer all his question optimistically.
