How to make a rice cake Cake

So my grandfather's bday is coming up soon and i was thinking of baking him a cake. however, my grandfather doesn't like the american cakes (yeah we're an asian family) cause they're too sweet so i want to bake a cake out of rice cake. ive seen some ppl do it on tv and if anyone knows please help me out....thanks
