I have the first roller coaster tycoon game. I want to raise the price on the rides but it won't let me raise the price so the rides are free. How can I fix this?

  1. It's been a while since I played the first one, so bear with me. I'm going to run through a few things I think it could be.

    1. Did you click on the ride, so the little window appears, and go to the money icon. That is where you change the price for the ride.

    2. If that doesn't work, try changing a price for a ride in another scenario. If that works, that means you are in a scenario when the rides are free (I do remember the first one having a few scenarios where money wasn't involved). Just the objective for the scenario you are currently on.

If it's not one of those two things, I have no idea.

  2. In RCT1, sometimes you will play a park that can't have the price of rides raised. I know that this is kinda cheap, but more often than not, if the guests have to pay in order to get into the park, you will not be allowed to raise the price of rides. Just like most amusement parks nowadays, you pay once to get in and the rides are free. Even if you lower the entrance price to 'Free,' you still won't be able to raise the ride price. I really wish that you could, though.
