How to make a scrapbook?

theirs a married couple that are moving and i want to make them a scrap book of all the people they know. how do i go about making it look creative.

There are tons of ideas and supplies in craft stores like Michael's or AC Moore and even online stores. Get a collection of phtots of family and friends, wedding pictures, shots of them as a couple before or during the engagement, invitations to the wedding or bridal shower or special birthday parties, little knickknacks that mean something to them and the lyrics to their favorite songs. You don't want to clutter a scrapbook but make it look personal and special so group pictures that are in the same category together- keep all the wedding stuff in one group, friends in another, family in another, etc... Little special touches like trimming the page with lyrics from their wedding song or pasting ticket stubs from their first date make a scrapbook personal and every time you open it you spot something you hadn't before. Use different patterned papers behind photos instead of the blank pages found in most albums to give it more personality and pop. Tying small ribbons of color at the top of the page makes whatever is underneath it stand out a bit more and make the pages a tad bit 3D, so not everything has to be flat but the book needs to be able to close at least. Just be creative. Use a large scrapbook so that there'll be loads of space. Then just glue on pictures. Ask those people do they know to write little messages for the couple and put them in too. You can use some special paper.

In a scrapbook you can actually just put in anything. You can put in remembrances and some pretty useless things that could mean a lot to them. Like receipts when they went out, something like that ;)

What makes scrapbooks look nice are the colors, the knick-knacks, and the themes. When I make my scrapbooks, I usually assign a theme for each page (like if the theme is "Under the Sea", I use colors that evoke water, like light blue and light green, add cut-outs of cute cartoon fishes, add pictures of bubbles, etc.). I use different-colored papers too. Use multi-colored pens to write messages. I make special borders around the pictures too. I usually write messages on cut-out pieces that look like little notepads, or signs, or whatever it is that fits the theme and looks creative. Anything is possible, just use your imagination and make sure to make it colorful and dynamic :)

I like to find elements I like on scrapbooking sites and print them out on a printer to save money and it looks great.

Buy a kit for starters it will make it easier. Everything you will need and also come with directions ;)))
