Question:

How to make a search for a site updated regularly?

My friends have a site Foxwallet.com for which they need a search. I tested Google search for them, but it does not update its results enough regularly. The problem is that the search must have results updated regularly, possible every time when the site changes (and the site changes very often).

  1. Some search engines (e.g. Google) allow the webmaster of a site to set how often the site is to be crawled. Others may automatically detect that your content changes often and set an appropriate crawl rate to make sure that the content is up to date in their index.

With Google you can set the crawl rate by using the Webmaster tools (see sources) and asking Google to crawl your site more often (this option may not be available for all sites) --- you need a Google account for this and you also need to verify that you're the owner of a certain site. Once you do that and sign in to Webmaster tools, go to the 'Tools' option on the left, and click on 'Set Crawl Rate' on the right. If available, you may be able to set the crawl rate to 'Faster'.

Be advised that if your site changes continuously there is bound to be a delay between the time the site is updated and the search engine index is updated. Besides tools like those offered by Google there's little you can do.

For more information check the advice on the Webmaster Central page by Google. You will find a link to the Google webmaster tools there too. Good luck.
