I think this is probably the most rediculous question I've ever asked, but I am completely serious. I can write neat, I can spell words perfectly. But for the life of me, I cannot sign in a way where it doesn't look as if I'm 12 (and I'm almost 18). This does include cursive in general. It's not illegible, it just looks as if I were still in 3rd grade practicing how to write my letters. It's silly, maybe I'm not alone, but I feel as though people who don't know you personally can judge a lot from a signature. My mother is getting a penmanship book (mostly for her, because her handwriting is so illegible it looks as though it were cursive; my handwriting is a miracle compared to hers) to help improve. I'm doing a terrible job writing out a job application (messed up on the times, of course, in pen... I hope it's not too big a deal because it's for the Y's Kids Korner.) But I don't want to "sign" until I've perfected it so it looks professional. Hopefully I can make it nicely done and copy it over and over until it IS my signature.
Until then, any tips on how to make a signature look very neat and professional at the same time, as though I were a doctor (or whatever "classy", high-profile job that needs nice handwriting and signatures)?
