How to make a slide show on a mac?

i would like to make a picture slideshow but i do not no what is the best software to make it but i cant use iphoto and i would also like to burn it on to a disk please help many thanks

i movie is amazing for that sort of thing ;)

I made a slideshow of photos from one of my holidays to italy using i movie, and I was able to add music, and a theme which allowed to me add location, and date, every few slides.

When you've finished making the movie, you can then burn it to disk ;)

iPhoto will do it then use the Export to DVD option.
