How to make a small room appear larger .

all the rooms in my house are small and i want to make them appear larger. i have tried mirrors . that helps some .

i have a small one bedroom apt and i have angled my couch in the corner, making more open space, and making the room appear larger. Also if you have alot of furniture cluttering your place, that will make it look more compact.

making a small room appear large can be kind of hard.  But, one thing that helps is removing some uneccesary items such as books, stools, or other furniture to make it seem larger.  But whatever you do, im sure your house looks fine.  Good luck!

Follow a Chinese philosophy and go Less is Best. Remove some objects from the room that are "unnecessary". You can also add smaller objects to. Open up some windows and let the sunlight in.

I agree with the answers you've received on light colors and minimal furniture.  You might also consider the scale of the furniture.  Smaller pieces might be the ticket.

i think that you should paint the walls white and you should leave some walls empty ... perhaps removing some furniture would do the trick ...

I always find that it helps to not have clutter.  Also not a lot of little pieces of furniture, but large ones kind of spread throughout.

When you choose ur color scheme go with something simple, not too many patterns.

That should help as well!

Remember also when you use the mirrors to just use them on one side of the room otherwise it will have the opposite effect!

make all the trim and doors and ceilings white and the rest whatever you want it to be

Use a valance in the room if there is windows instead of complete wall curtians.
