How to make a small room bigger!!?

Question

hi, my room is quite small (8 foot by 8 foot) but i have a desk, tv stand, book shelf, chair, bed etc so i barely have any room to do anything. how can i make my room more bigger? i have a small cupboard in my room which goes over the stairs but is used for storage. any ideas on how i can make it bigger any storage solutions!!

Put  a large mirror on the wall it makes the room look bigger

If you are going to paint the walls, go for a light color, such as yellow, or pale blue, green, or pink. Also, mirror alot of things. Such as walls and closets. And clear out the clutter! Here are some good websites...

or make storage under your bed or any other places that you can

Store away anything that you don't need in an attic or basement

Well I have a small room myself, so here are some ideas

Use under the bed storage boxes. They come in all different sizes and are relatively cheap.  

Try to get rid of one or more of your items. like your chair or your book stand.

If you have a flat panel tv you could look into getting it mounted onto the wall to save space.

also one thing i recently did to my room was install a shelf across the top of one of the walls about 12 inches from the ceiling. It looks good for storage and saves me room because it's not taking up floor space. Home improvement stores offer kits for that.

a mirror can also work to give the illusion of more space which is good but it doesn't necessarily provide any storage space.
