How to make a smooth move?

We are moving and my kids are starting a new school they are in 1st and 5th grade any tips on making it a smooth move and transition?

Make sure their things are the first into the new house, pack their  things seperately so they can settle in and have familiar things around them right away. Make sure the house is sorted and they are settled before starting their new schools, a few days off to settle in will pay off big time in the long run as they will feel at home and wont have a new home and a new school to get used to all at the same time. The best advice would be make it fun for them and talk to them about any worried they might have. Good luck and dont worry - kids are very resilient and get used to things really fast.
