How to make a text form that will generate text?

Hi, I'm just curious what codes/scripts they use to make generators like this http://astig-designs.com/linkers/javagen.html the generator displays the generated text after hitting the generate button. Please help I want to know what scripting language they use.. Thanks.. and please include some links of tutorial sites if you know any.

Since the title of the box is "Javascript Linker", I'd guess they used javascript. But you could do it in php, too.
