How to make a tv get sound without a picture?

Yeah... Call them crazy, but the sound from TV helps someone sleep, but the picture keeps them up.

Let's see ....adjust the brightness......put a towel or blanket over the screen....turn the TV towards the wall......get a radio that includes TV stations...

Hook up the audio outputs from a vcr to some amplified speakers or cheap dvd speaker system.

In older tv's you could turn the color all the way to dark and make the screen black. Not sure if you can still do that with new ones. Check the menu and brightness level.
