I have a small domestic garden and I want to take an area of lawn, fence it off and make an enclosed vegetable plot. By 'enclosed' I mean I want to keep the dog off the area.
I was thinking of digging the area over, buying some treated timber to make a frame (about 4" high) and then attaching chicken wire to it to stop the dog climbing in. I will then buy in a small quantity of top soil. It's either that, or get hold of some old railway sleepers but I think that would work out more expensive and more difficult to manoeuvre on my own.
It will only be a small patch, but I was thinking of growing carrots, radish and perpetual spinach. Any other suggestions would be most welcome!
