Question:

How to make a vegetable plot?

I have a small domestic garden and I want to take an area of lawn, fence it off and make an enclosed vegetable plot. By 'enclosed' I mean I want to keep the dog off the area.

I was thinking of digging the area over, buying some treated timber to make a frame (about 4" high) and then attaching chicken wire to it to stop the dog climbing in. I will then buy in a small quantity of top soil. It's either that, or get hold of some old railway sleepers but I think that would work out more expensive and more difficult to manoeuvre on my own.

It will only be a small patch, but I was thinking of growing carrots, radish and perpetual spinach. Any other suggestions would be most welcome!

  1. you don't mention what size your garden should be i mean by meters(e.g.2x4)my idea is buy something used bamboo then used it for your enclosure of your garden an then if you have another extra money buy used fish net.....that it..........
