  1. I assume you mean a welcome/opening speech at the graduation.  I had to do one last year because I was the only kindergarten teacher at my school.

Basically, this is what I said:

"Good evening! I see so many proud parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings in the audience tonight.  I want to thank all of you for coming.  We are very excited to share our program with you tonight.  I want to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful students for a great year.  We have had so much fun together and I'm sure they have taught me as much as I have taught them!  I am very proud of their accomplishments and progress, but very sad to see them go!  I also want to thank all the parents, you have all been a tremendous support this year and I could not have done it without you.  I hope you enjoy our program tonight, we have worked very hard on it.  It is with great pride and pleasure that I present to you my kindergarten students who are first-grade bound!"

Good luck!  Just speak from the heart.  Welcome everyone, thank those that need thanking, tell something wonderful about your class or a funny story, and present the class!
