How to make a wi-fi connection at home??

I have a 64kbps connection at my home. Can I configure it somehow so that I can access net from any part of my home wirelessly??

  1. Sounds like you have a 56k connection.. That's not enough bandwidth for one computer much less multiple computers.

    Sharing a dialup Connection:

    If you want to use wireless, a simple way assuming you have a wireless adapter in your computer is to get a wireless DSL router. Turn off DHCP on the router. You don't care about it's IP address.. We're making it a wireless switch.

    On the PC with the dialup connection, use internet connection sharing. Once shared you'll be able to connect.

    Wireless laptop --> Wireless Router ---> PC with shared connection --> Internet.

    You turn off DHCP because you want the wireless computer to get it's dynamic addressing from the PC with the connection so that everything will be setup right.

  4. if you have dialup connection, I cannot make wireless connection using router. You should have a broadband connection, so that you can use D-link or Linksys Wireless Router to confgure
